New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School exists for the glory of God as a ministry to the covenant children of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, its affiliated churches, and other Christian families in the community. New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School welcomes applicants from a variety of backgrounds subject to the enrollment process presented below.
New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School does not discriminate in the admissions process or in the administration of its educational policies and programs on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin. While New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School desires to serve children with a variety of needs, the school reserves the right to recommend admission to another school if, in its sole judgment, a child’s ability, behavior, or emotional development indicates he would be best served by another program.
Parents may apply for enrollment of their child as early as August 1st, one year prior to enrollment. To be eligible to enroll in the kindergarten, a child should be 5 years old by September 30m, (31 August for grant recipients). Beginning on February 1, applications are considered based on the date received.
For parents who have carefully examined and agree with the philosophy, goals, and policies of New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School and desire the school to work with them in educating their child(ren), the following enrollment process should be followed:
1. Complete and submit a student application, including pertinent student records, and pay a nonrefundable, nontransferable fee of $50.
2. Schedule an academic/developmental assessment for your incoming K-8 child with the school office (Kindergarten developmental assessments are scheduled to take place in March each year). We provide immediate feedback to parents regarding the child’s academic/ developmental readiness for the grade for which they have applied. In situations where appropriate, further information may be requested before enrollment decisions are made.
3. Attend a parent interview with the Principal to discuss the partnership between New Life Christian Academy & Preparatory School and the family. We will outline the school’s commitment to the family and review the parents’ expected commitment to the school. This will include discussion about the parents’ profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the school’s philosophy of education, curriculum and instructional methods, and other school distinctives.
4. If any step listed in the enrollment process is not completed in a timely or appropriate manner, the student spot that was offered may be revoked and given to the next person on the waiting list.
5. The first month’s tuition is due by July 1 and is due monthly through May of the following year according to the financial commitment statement.
6. Submit to the office a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization records at least one month before the starting date of school. All immunizations must be current.
Enrollment opens February 1, for current enrolled families. Open enrollment for all families begins March 1.
